You're welcome to read it for yourself straight from Ebay: What to do when a buyer doesn't pay

"If the buyer doesn't pay, you need to manually close the case in the Resolution Center within 36 days after the listing ended, in order to receive a final value fee credit.

If you haven't closed the case on the 37th day after the listing ended, we automatically close it and you won't receive a final value fee credit. Also, we won't record an unpaid item in the buyer's account."

I've never had success with 2nd chance status for a bidding-non-payer item. Like it has been said, by that time (usually for me almost 2 weeks after the "sale" to get things squared away to start again) the 2nd place person is no longer interested. I do well with not having many bid non-paying customers (maybe 2-3%) and chances are someone else might buy it next time its offered. Most of my stuff isn't for much coin so I just roll with it.

Ahhh my mistake. I misinterpreted your response as meaning I was full of crap. Thanks for clarifying!

And I agree it's a stupid policy that doesn't make sense.

Where in your account setup are you able to change these settings on who can bid? I have gone through everything I can find (including searches in ebay help) and can't find anything to limit these options. I've been doing $100-200 per month of sales - the only thing I can think of is that you have a store and that gives you better options?

    When you make the listing
You are given a chance to pick Buyer Requirements
As far as blocking non paying >> Best you can do is block those with 2 or more unpaid strikes
and as far as Feed Back >> Best you can do is block -1 Feed back score >> which makes NO sense since Buyer ID's can ONLY get Positive Feed back

I get maybe 1 every six months.
How do I do that? I am having bad luck with non-payers right now....

I also require immediate payment for BIN items. That takes care of the problems right there!
