Watch out for this motherboard!
This is an ASUS motherboard that supports a pair of Pentium Pro or Pentium II processors. The CPUs are mounted on a daughterboard that connects to a slot near the center of the main board. It's a valuable board, so if you're lucky enough to find one, don't scrap it!!

Do you have the number for the motherboard? Would it be possible to find this board with other cpu's mounted on it, or only pentium pros? Thanks for your help, AGAIN!!

I have 62 old PC's I've picked up in the last 2 days and they are all old. Some have the old 5" floppy drives. I haven't been able to look at all of them yet but I did look at a few and found a Pentium Pro. I'm hoping I'll find more as I go through them. Maybe I'll find one like the one above.

Thanks but I'm looking for the number off the board, not the card... unless you're saying the motherboard and card have the same number?

Thanks ryanw! Just wanted to make sure I had the right numbers. Motherboards all start to blend together after a long day of pulling stuff apart!
Before tearing down shoot FLimits a p.m. From all the reading she knows her **it about the older stuff and can possible purchase it for more than scrap value.

These computers had been stored in a semi trailer since the early 90's or longer with rain leaking in on them and God only knows what living in them. I pulled a good part of them out of the construction dumpster after they were thrown in from the back of the trailer. These things are bent broken and funky funky funky!! They are currently in my driveway getting rained on because they ain't coming in the garage. I will have some more stuff coming in soon from several other contacts so maybe it will be in good shape and can be sold.

Let me expand on where you MIGHT find these dual socket boards. Sun Microsystems Workstations, Silicon Graphics Workstations and Workgroup servers. BUT The number one find and most likely is the IBM Intellistation 6899 or Z Pro. It will have a Pentium Pro sticker right on it and will be a "full tower" case instead of the then common mid tower. There are others, the MPC Client Pro and Dell GX Pro DOES NOT have an asus board, so far as I know the aforementioned are the ONLY P Pro Dual Processor ASUS Mobo systems. Good luck on the hunt, even AsusTek admits they made less than ten thousand. (In a time when the Pentium II and AMD K6 were over 233 Mhz)

im in South Africa but im sitting with a Pentium Pro & ( i think ) a few 486 chips
dont know what to do to get max money out of it.
should i sell it to u guys?

I got a board that has 2 Pentium pros in it. It doesn't have a daughter board in it. But its dual socket. I need to look the motherboard up. I reckon.
