BS, in the last pic, be sure to pull the small jumper off of the plug-in end. Then "crush" it on the edges with a wire cutter (plastic coated) and it will open up kind of like a clam and show you a jumper plated with gold,,, into your OMG bucket.

Now you went an confused me Mechanic?
You can usually find these small jumpers on motherboards, hard drive boards, cd/dvd boards, finger cards, etc. They just jump 2 pins together on the plug-in's.
Not earth shattering stuff here, just something extra to grab off the boards while your pulling batteries and other things.

It was the word "plug-end" my mind went to a wire or cord with a "end-plug" and I kept looking at those drives. Amazing what some sleep will do for a thinking mind. Well aware of gold jumpers on drives, MB's and I find them on Tel-Com boards as well. Not all are gold though, question then could some be silver, as main function of a jumper is conductivity and able to be removed and/or relocated.
