Withholding payment on burnt copper for 30 days would accomplish the same end. The crack heads would have to find other means to support their habit.

Pile on the right is from starters and generators while the right side is from motors.

Am I wasting my time. I weighed up the copper, recovered 55 lbs from motors and 27.5 from starters and generaters

Almost $270 worth for the prices here. Then again, depends on how my yard would grade it too.

The run windings are # 1, the flat wire from the starters is # 1 copper pipe with the soldered joints removed I get #1.

In truth any copper that is pure is just that # 1 copper, the yards like to play their little games to gain a dollar on you.

When I take my copper, radiators , brass, stainless steel and aluminum in for cash I have enough scrap on-board to make them pay attention.

One of the finer points of hoarding, it gives you an advantage when selling in large amounts.
