Boards out of an electric stove

hi I have tried finding an answer to this question. My apologies if its there and I overlooked it. Anyways I got a newer style electric stove. It has brown boards I got out of it. Would they even be low grade boards? Some of them do have decent sized copper transformers? I guess they'd be called that. Also the boards were made by electolux. Thanks for any replies!

Yes, they are low grade boards. Take the transformers, aluminum, and ic chips (if any) off to sell separately.

Awesome on the quick reply. Now I did just see it has some green boards. These will still prolly be low grade? I'm thinking so if I don't see any gold and such on them? Also IC chips? Since your still looking.

I would suggest reading through this thread:

It might seem a bit confusing at first, but it does get easier.

As an aside, Electrolux also makes vacuum cleaners. One of my favorite authors, Steven King, was fond of using the phrase, "That sucks like an Electrolux."

Check for relays. They are blue or black boxes with a nice spool of copper. There are a lot of them in appliances.

IC chips look like these: IC Chip Example

Flat Packs are good too! Flat Packs Example

Also chips that look like this!

There doesn't have to be gold showing on boards for the grade to be higher than low grade. Although I can't tell you specifics on what grade a board is, but someone you sell to would be able to give you information.

I read alot from this forum and gathered information long before I sold my first batch of boards. I didn't want to get short changed (ripped off) but also didn't want to look like I was ignorant about what I was trying to sell. My suggestion to you, Mudlight2, would be to gather as much information from this forum before trying to sell boards to anyone. Save your boards until you feel confident enough. I'm not saying people on here who buy boards will try to short change you, but it's always better to be better informed and more knowledgable about anything thoroughly before selling it, in my opinion.

Thanks rawresale. I had no idea what a 'flat pack" was. Always thought a "flat pack", was an empty rucksack
