    hard drives

Is it worth breaking a hard drive down or sell it complete? Also I am looking for a buyer for the boards if it is worth taking them out. I have around 30 hard drives now. I did take one apart to see what was inside though. I want these gone ASAP. Thanks!!!!!!!

How much are the boards worth? Who buys them?

I'm sorry....but do you even look for an answer before blurting out questions? I don't mean to sound annoyed but I am...wasting countless threads on the same questions is not only annoying but quite ignorant when everyone says the same thing...USE THE SEARCH BOX IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER...!
And for being a member for over a year...you outta know that by now...I do...

Think for yourself, do your homework, or maybe actually take a couple apart & find out for yourself like everyone else did....... Happy Sunday!

It is a forum. That is what people do. They ask questions and try to get good feedback. You on the other hand are a rude person with nothing better to do than post nasty comments about another persons post. I certainly did not ask for your advice and definitely DO NOT WANT OR NEED IT!!!! Drink another beer, it will make you drive faster.

But you did ask for her advice asandahl, as well as for everybody elses on this forum, by posting your questions here. You didn't ask for my advice either, but you're getting it. MisScrap was right on target, and was definitely not the rude part of this discussion. MisScrap merely stated the same sensible facts you will see on probably 50% of the threads here.

You should get a little thicker skin...I did not mean to offend you...just when it comes to scrapping electronics...you learn the grades of material by actually doing the work for yourself... You can ask for everyone elses opinions but that is what you will have...a bunch of opinions! However if you did it yourself..you would have facts...which in my experience always work better.

The question regarding hard drives has been asked hundreds of times in plenty different ways...that is why so many others had asked you to use the search box....the annoyance came in when you argued and continued to ask questions that have already been answered!

http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/intro...ease-read.html I think this may help to refresh your memory....

In regards to the beer....it was the lords day and I was actually working...trying to clean up after the hurricane... I do want to wish you the best in this industry however...as I feel you could use it...take care and Happy Scrapping!

Parttimescrapper buys them whole if they are a certain size. You can take the info from the above post and look in the buyers section to see what a pound of boards are worth or scrap them whole to a buyer on here for about a buck a pound or less if it's missing the board.

If you need them gone ASAP...put a whiggle in it and hurry every chance you get.

As several others have mentioned, go to the buyers/sellers section on this very forum and you will find at least 4 or 5 different quotes from buyers around the country.

It takes about 12 boards to make a pound and they sell for about $11 a pound to most of us buyers here on the forum. Only you can decide if it worth it or not to tear them apart.

Offers to buy or sell go in that forum not in the general forums. Buy/sell offers will be deleted as yours was. That is why everyone was telling you to go to the Sellers forum.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

I just sold a couple of batches of platters on Ebay, got $10.00 for 25 of them. I'll do that all day long.

Did you do that as a buy it now or auction?

Yes. 7 day with buy-it-now option, used some H.D. magnets to hopefully wiped the platters clean.
