    AC compressors

I have them, and wile i realize some are AL windings most of mine are not
Does any one have an idea of the CU percentage they have come up with -
as to the general percentage of copper weight to a compressor weight . I have had compressors with 1/2 to 3/4 lb copper but never bothered to weigh first . Any help would be appreciated

The smaller ones (1/2 horse and smaller) run about 8-10%, the larger ones run about 6-8% copper.
