strangest place I've ever found scrap

This past Sunday as I was walking home from scrapping aluminum cans and whatever else I could carry in my hands I came across a small gas grill next to a dumpster. Coincedentally I found the guy who put it there and he said that it was garbage. I said I'd pick it up on Monday if it was still there. Monday came along and he had taped a note to the grill stating that he also had a steel desk to get rid of, along with his phone number. I made the call and contacted a buddy of mine to pull the desk out(it was on the 2nd floor). Upon entering the office the landlord showed us 100's of packaged condoms on the floor. He also told us that a few women had gone to the office for interviews for what the landlord thought were office positions, end result was that the tenant was starting a porn studio. I neglected to say that this office building is not even 500 feet from my house(thank God the tenant wasn't starting a brothel). Not much else to the story but I thought it was funny.

What's the scrap value on condoms. I have been finding there is a market for everything once you find the buyer.

valid point however I was really only thinking about the desk. I've always believed in taking anything free because even if it's something I don't want or need I may be able to sell it to someone else. I just don't want a Hoarders tv show episode made out of me.

Here's what happened to me yesterday I went to pick up a 99 tahoe and when I got there the guy hadn't even began cleaning the thing out and he acted like he didn't want to so since I have very little patience I just told him I would do it if he would accept 50 dollars less well he only accepted 20 dollars less well in the back of this Tahoe were 2 huge dentist chairs(how someone got them back there I don't know) well today I went to the trash dump and the attendant there said he would help me unload them little did we know that they were EXTREMELY HEAVY so he just gave up and told me "hey if I were you I'd just take them to the salvage yard down the street" now you'd think since I go to the salvage yard at least once a week that I would of thought to do that but I didn't know they would accept dentist chairs so that's what I did and those 2 chairs weighed in at 800lbs yes I made $96 off of something that I was gonna break my back to unload for nothing man you talk about happy lol!

Did you count the $20 buck in there also Ptscrapper? If you didn't you actually made $116 bucks off that. That guy bascially paid you $20 to go make $96 bucks.. thats a heck of a deal. Everyone wants to get paid to go make more money.
