stairway from he** turned to stairway from heaven ;-)

I deal with a number of schools and had an interesting clean-out on friday. There was a closet packed full of computers, cables, phones, monitors, etc... and of coarse it was on the second floor at the back of the building. So when they led me from the office towards where they were, I about fell over when I saw the stairs. The ceilings were about 15ft high and this is an old, old building in the west end of Cincy.

I did not have any of my kids with me and was NOT looking towards spending the day humping stuff one item at a time, from where I staged it, to where the truck was. I asked if the electric chair worked, was told it did but it was rarely used and they would find whoever had the keys. Sooooo likeeeee....imma prayin hard.. they come back and after I tell them how I am going to load it and take down 5 at a time, they get all excited and before I know it, there are 5-6 people draggin things to the chair so they can take a turn. Ended up fully loaded in less than 2 hours and folks where having a blast.

Moral of the story...WORK SMART, have fun doing what ya do... and PRAYER WORKS! ;-)

    Have a blessed Sunday, BroJer

20 old p2-p3's. boxes of cords, server parts and cat5, phone systems, box of finger boards, old printer cables and 12 dreaded crts. it is all already broke down. have to go back tomorrow morning and setup a wireless machine for them and pickup whatever else they can find. i know there are a dozen more crts and a few p4s they were going to unhook by the time I get finished with the install. what works for me doing all the schools and non-profits is there is always people donating things they do not need, (many do not like to say no even if they turn right around and give it to me) so every time i get into a new school, parish or non-profit, there will always be more, and I will be there when they upgrade again! they have 40+ machines that they will be upgrading in the next year and they won't get tossed out or shoved in a hidden closet anymore. ;-) Bro
