62 Towers and 48 servers, good start to the weekend!

The stack of servers is a little over 6 feet high.

No hard drives, RAM or cpu's but lot's of beautiful motherboards. After taking a part one of each type should be 240-250lbs of motherboards Plus other goodies and about 1700lbs of steel.

Yup this was the one. $675 delivered to my storage unit.

I'm in Canada, so shipping drives to the USA is out of the question for me, however selling them myself on ebay is not.

Those towers don't happen to be IBM towers are they. If so, I usually get 95/unit for them when I sell them to a local computer shop.

It's not that they can't be shipped, it's the just the cost of shipping would make sending them to PTS a losing proposition on my end.

    Escrap,
Not IBM, they are HP, but thanks for the heads up

    And thanks to everyone else!

They can be, but shipping from Canada is crazy expensive. We don't have flat rate boxes here, only small document pouches. Sucks to be us sometimes.

Removing the motherboards from the large HP servers is proving to be a major PITA. Thankfully I only have 10 of them to deal with and with the 38 sun microsystems servers the motherboard comes out very easily.

lol Dee, I'm not much of a dancer myself but when I placed the first motherboard from one of the sun microsystems servers on my scale and saw 3.5lbs I was pretty darn close to throwing down some moves. It was a good feeling. The larger servers (which I paid a few dollars more for each) are actually going to be bring me less than the smaller ones.

The towers I knew right away how much I'd be making on each and what's the best I can reasonably do for them. The servers were a new thing for me, and I will be able to now price them more accurately in the future.

It's been a great couple weeks for me, several big purchases which will make me some decent money and have also expanded on my knowledge a considerable amount which will allow me to approach future purchases with more confidence.

Now all I have to do is hope that I haven't used up all my good luck for 2012 to early!
