    New Youtube channel

I know I know, this first video is very boring, and shaky. I am going to start making more videos of our shop and what comes in on a day to day basis. Of course I will not be making a post everyday but I am going to try to make one once a week. Anyways, the two 53' dry van trailers you see in the beginning hold all of our broken down material...as you can see our shop is not big enough. And yes in the future I will talk in the videos..haha.

    Hi Escrap,
Nice way to show what you have going on, especially seperation of scrap. I noticed in the video that small cooling fans were mixed in with motors. Does your scrap yard class them together?

We ship out no less than 10000lbs at a time and our buyer will buy them at electric motor price. We will generally have gaylords of straight steel motors as well so it is not all electric fans.

    Olddude,

Yeah i agree with you, scrapping is not as easy as people think it is. And i hope to portray that as I make more videos. We don't always have good days. And as far as your "partners" go, I am sorry to hear that.

its time some one makes some videos of the reality of scrapping, and how tough it is, in todays economy, im tired of all the get rich quick crap I see on u tube and TV. it creats way too much panacea and the get rich quick, easy money know nothings come out of the walls. I am getting very tired of creating my own compitition then educating. sry just my .02

guess I need to explain this rant: over the last few months I have hired 3 different guys, gave them 50% and a great education and paid expences. all three are now out there on their own, even contacting my own long time customers. and guess what, they arnt paying ME 50%

I got dizzy, too. I'm sure you'll be more comfortable next time and go slower ! Anyway, it's a good start and a good idea. Thanks.

I actually had never planned on putting it on youtube, but rather just show it to my aunt, as she wanted to see. That is why I just kind of walked through. Trust me next time it will be better. Haha.

Oldude, The next guy you hire (if you do) just have them sign a no compete clause and that way when they go on their own, if they solicit one of your customers you can legally take them to court for damages.
I once worked for a guy putting in satellite dishes and he took on a partner. Later down the line the partner pulled his money out and was going to open his own sat. dish service and had to wait 6 months. After that he had to go 30 mile away to open his business as the other half of the no compete clause he signed.
