    The Best Policy.

Well, I'm not a thief, but this guy was going to make it Christmas for someone who is.

I walked by a truck tonight parked close to a bar and the back was full of wire. Romex, that thick black multi-strand wire and others. I'm guessing the guy was an electrician and that he was having a few after a long work day. I thought about trying to find him and ask him what he planned to do with it. But I didn't even the cash to buy him a drink if he had said that I could take it, so I went on by. And I thought , if he's keeping all those smaller pieces he probably means to scrap it himself. Things have been very lean lately. So bad that,in fact, I had to keep reminding myself that I don't take other people's property!

Must have been good karma because as soon as I got home I found out that I have a research gig that will bring in far more than the wire would have anyway!

I hear ya Scrappette...what kind of research will you be doing ? I was a research assistant for a woman getting her phD. and it was before computers, so I had to go to the libraries at USC with a sack of dimes for the copy machines. Are you old enough to remember the microfische ?

I periodically do web research for someone who doesn't have the time to do it herself. The topics vary. This time it will be about summer internships and volunteer opportunities for undergraduates in the US and abroad. I also do correspondence for her (letters, emails, thank-you notes) and occasional speech writing.

And yes, Dee, I am old enough. Thanks for reminding me! LOL.
