Okay, so as most of you know, 3 weeks ago I was broke. Not unnaturally I have a third eye type of broke, but my poor wallet was feeling a little light. Things weren't looking up and I was miserable. Trying to sell my poor E-scrap on here along with my everlasting soul. Well, It's been a rough 3 weeks, but here's how it went.
3 weeks ago while I was down on my luck and had maybe a couple hundred, to my name, I sat waiting silently for the fates to smile down upon me. Finally it happened, the skies opened and there was Jesus smiling down at me while eating a pepperoni hot pocket. I got a call from the largest computer repair shop in the Tri-county area here. Talked to a kid on the phone and he told me he was basically sitting on 4 or 5 pounds of old cpu chips, some RAM, and 50lbs of Mobos. Naturally, I'm slightly excited, as this will top off my load nice. He comes by, turns out all his CPU chips are 486 and 386 chips. Boy oh boy! After I paid him and changed my pants, I found myself with a whopping 30 bucks to my name.
I told my cousin, if he would take me to Cleveland to sell my E-scrap goodness and pay for gas on the way up. I would gladly double his money and pay for gas to get home. BET! Off to the races we were. We loaded up a dark green Buick with no license plate (yeah, they still talk about us in Cleveland over that) and took off. The drive up there took roughly 5 hours and 80 bucks in gas. Not too shabby.
We get up there, find the place, which is way out of the way. I had to call Mechanic before I left town just so I could get direction. Good guy on the phone, hope to work with him someday. We find the place in the back of this industrial district which is kinda situated out in the hood. All they had was a garage door and a sign that said "Honk for assistance". Alright so we honk and here come the dudes. On a brighter note, the guys with Cleveland Computer Recycling are seriously cool. They're professionally down to earth genuine guys. I didn't get the whole someone is going to make me walk bow-legged vibe I get at most scrap yards. So they come out and we start unloading. We all had a hell of a time unloading the Buick. It was packed, back seat and all.

That's Bruce rocking the beanie and khakis. If you ever deal with this dude, he'll treat you fairly. I seriously enjoyed talking to him, and actually found the experience to be education as well as pleasant. A legitimately cool guy. I could drink beers with this man and pick up sub par womens, and be alright with it.
All in all, I made roughly 1350 off that trip. My cousin was pissed. He had no idea there was money in junking computers out. When I first told him I was buying a building and starting up in Escrap he said I had better luck, "Taking a s_it and falling back in it." He got his 150 and I won't lie I drove us home and detoured to a nudie club along the way.
Week 2, I'm still sitting on my cash, and there's not scrap to be had. People are all doing the whole Christmas thing and I'm not getting hugs, then all of a sudden my luck changes. A guy who has a relative who works for an appliance store stops by the shop with a trailer full of appliances. He intends to scrap them out but doesn't know how to break them down, I offer him 4 bucks a piece for each appliance and he unloads the trailer for me LOL.

I made 220 off a 50 dollar investment.
Then last week, the large computer repair shopscalls and needs me to come by, they say they have 10 computers for me to pick-up. Okay, I roll out in the s-10 and go do work. I get there and it's not 10 computers, it's 36! LOL, I had to break out the ratchet straps. Do you know how hard it is to transport close to 40 computers in a short bed s-10? **** son! I spent all night tearing them down and drove back to up to Cleveland for another 600 bucks. All in all, it's not been a bad month. LOL

Also, even as I was writing this, a guy came by and sold me some more E-scrap, I shelled out 20 bucks to make 46. Ain't life grand?
