Found some scrap leads on Google maps

The alternator belt on my truck is about to break and it's raining too much to work on it so I had a little extra time on my hands today. I've found some scrap scanning Google maps before but never checked out my own neighborhood until today. Found what looks like the ruins of an old church about 2 miles away. I've been here most of my life and never knew this place was here. I drive by it almost everyday.

The area behind a school a few blocks away looks promising. This property is owned by the city. Looks like they dumped some old concrete pipes there. When it stops raining I'll walk down there and get a closer look.

I wish I could tell you this is my place, these folks have a nice collection of junk cars. I might have to introduce myself one of these days

What are you going to do with concrete pipe (culverts?)?

I thought about looking for fridges and washers at curbside but there is a time delay

I can only imagine how many cars are under the trees that can't be seen.

The church looks picked clean long ago! I would use caution going there.

The place with the cars would be my place of interest, this guy is a master scrapper! Get in with this guy and you are in!

I was thinking the same thing but I see it is one of those "dump it off" roads.

Hmmm, maybe I'll take a tractor down there and try to stand them upright, like Stonehenge.

Confuse the hell out of historians 1000 years from now. They'll figure it was some kind of alter.

Probably old asbestos water pipe.

Some homeless already made good use of the culverts but they left me enough scrap to get the kids a few extra Christmas presents. Thanks Google!

Be very careful going someplace you find on google maps...I've had problems with bad scrappers here...and I am sure other owners of facilities that have ALOT of scrap in and around them also have experienced the same thing, and its not worth getting arrested or worse.

watch out for asbestos cement pipes no joke. but great find , taking scrap to next level. used google maps a few times as well
