    Great few weeks for me

Well, I've been doing pretty good these past few weeks. As you may know, my dad is a plumber. He's been insanely busy after the flood putting in new water heaters and furnaces. Guess where all the old ones have been ending up? Last time I counted, I had 7 water heaters, 4 or 5 furnaces, quite a bit of ductwork, and some other odds and ends. Those are only the ones I've already gotten. I still have to help him get 2 water heaters and 2 furnaces out of one apartment basement, a water heater out of another, a water heater, 2 furnaces, a washer and 2 dryers, and some other junk out of someone's house, another pile of junk including a furnace from behind the first apartment, and the jobs just keep coming. I just scored an oven from down the street a few hours ago too. What's everyone else been doing?

There's nothing more fun and more effective than hitting something repeatedly with a sledgehammer

He's referring to when you go into the main door of the apartment complex, and go downstairs from the main level.

Maybe they just don't have them in Texas. I've lived in apartments in Houston, San Marcos, and Huntsville, and never seen a basement...Or even a short staircase down anywhere.

Most apartments do have basements around here... That's why they got flooded

I just cashed in all this stuff a few weeks ago. It took two rather large dump truck loads to get rid of. I got even more stuff since my last post. In total, I had 11 water heaters, 8 furnaces, 2 stoves, 4 washers, 2 dryers, 1 boiler, 3 dishwashers, numerous small appliances, a few car parts, and a pickup truck load of misc. stuff. Just from that stuff, I ended up with about 2 1/2 tons and $500

Actually I would've figured you made more than that off the stuff.

Of course I pulled all the wiring and motors. I ended up with 250 pounds of motors and 50 pounds of wire among other things. I probably made an extra hundred bucks stripping all the goodies

Oh man, that's a lot of switches to be had. I'm jealous..

Too much light iron for my taste, but a great haul none the less. I would imagine some nice brass and copper parts came out of it too.

Actually, not a whole lot. Only about half a bucket of each. I did fill a small garbage can with wire, and a few buckets of aluminum, though
