I'm from the Johnson City area (right next to Binghamton for those who don't know the area). Trust me, it's just as bad here.
Thankfully I live on a hill and didn't need to worry about flooding except for some minor stuff in my garage, but even at the bottom of the hill a stream overflowed and went right through a neighborhood. To put everything into perspective: That road has 2 main parts: upper and lower.(It's not actually called that) The lower is anything below one of the main roads in the town. The bottom of the upper section was the neighborhood that had a stream overflow into it. The fifth picture is of the lower part, about 75 feet in from the main road. About half a mile back, the Susquehanna River is overflowing into that whole part of town.
The first picture was taken from the railroad track that runs through the area. It's pretty much the only way to get anywhere close to the area. Imagine that house underwater times about 200 and you can picture the neighborhood.
The second picture is of a car in the affected area
The third picture is of a park. There's about 6-10 ft of water in there.
The fourth picture is another from the affected area taken from the railroad tracks.
All these pictures were taken yesterday, and the water has gone down a few feet in the park area. The bad part is, the water hasn't gone down at all in the other neighborhood. If anything, it's come up even further. I'll try to keep everyone updated
