    Other peoples leftovers

I don't understand how some people think. I picked up the back of a tv today. Dumped on sone waste ground. The goodies were all gone at first glance but as I saw a wire poking out I decided to snip it anyway. Every little wire adds up! There was actually a circuit board still in there with six small copper windings and more aluminium than I've seen in a tv before. I've had a bit of waiting around to do today so I just sat in the car unwinding it and rolling it into balls. It's better than doing sudoku anyway!

Why would somebody take the goodness of the copper yoke but leave these lovely little bits behind?

cause they are like I was when I started....ignorant ! And they don't have a forum to learn from ! But, I'm reminded every time I come here about how much I still have to learn.....and if I don't learn something new every day....shame on me.

I love those small copper winding...since I break down everything in the living room of my apartment, I count on the small pieces that I can keep in a bucket. I know it was brought up in another post, but that is the same reason I cut all the brass prongs off of the cords also.

It's the same when I see the cords cut off sweepers but they have left behind the motor which has aluminum, steel and copper in them!! I guess they just dont want the hassle of breaking things down further or the leftover mess I guess. Me, I dont mind because its money for me and I'll make more off the motor than the cord anyways.
