Mother load!!!!!

So I talked to this guy the other day and he works at a fishery and told me that they were replacing the wiring to the fish pens, I now have the contract for all of the wiring!!!

There is 1900 FEET!!!!! It is 6AWG-3 type G-GC wire. It is too precious to scrap, so I will be selling it to local farmers for aeration fans for their grain bins, the trouble is finding the NEW price per foot for it. I looked online and cannot find any info on it.

Here is what is written on the wire

I think it's also used to hook Mobile home's up to their electric boxes, I scrapped some that size from a mobile home we scrapped.

They are replacing it because when the lake froz up, the ice cut it in half, and to pass code it had to be replaced, there had to be absolutley no chance a join could break in the water as there was 600V going through the wire. I see used wire online locally all the time. I will cover my arse when it comes to liability, I will only sell it to farmer I know personally that will not screw me.

Did you have to pay for the wire? Man what a find either way. I was also wondering why they were replacing, sounds like you should be safe selling it as used wire.

I will make a waiver on the bottom of the receipts for the wire saying Militia Metals is not liable for anything, once you have purchased the wire as used it is your problem, or something along the lines of that

well stripped a foot of wire and it weighs 1/3 pound so, so 1900 feet is 633lbs stripped, and no.1 is worth 3.25 here this week, $2057.25 in scrap value, gotta double that by selling it whole methinks! And, and thats not even including the 1900 feet of 16awg 12 wire lol

Thats a lot of wire, hope it can be reused. Some construction specs might specify new wire tho.

Well got my 2nd half ton load brought in, I now have a total of 275 of the heavy mofo wire, 500 feet of the 20/12 wire and 500 feet of copper coax! Wow, what a lot of work stripping the zip ties and rope tying the wires together!
