Probably the most disturbing/sketchy/awful way to dismantle ANYTHING

My neighbor (scrappin partner time to time) Just stopped by. Yes, at 1 am. (i work mainly at night).

He said "look at this" so i walked over to his truck bed. In their i see a bucket, on that bucket, the lid said "Thermite". He had a bag full of magnesium bricks he bought at a sporting goods store.

He said, and i freaking quote: "I want to dismantle a series of washers and dryers. Old lady is gettin' tired of the clutter, so i gotta do it quick. Think this will work?"

I live 2 houses down from this guy....You can't fix stupid. Ya just cant.

    Should get the job done.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Well, Hoss, if he's big and strong, I guess he's good to have around sometimes, just to help you with your big jobs. You'll just have to be the brains for two !!! Bless him....and his wife !

quick and easy way to ignite thermite is to use those magnesium christmas tree hanging sparklers. Only used them a few times when playing around with the stuff, but they've never failed me. If you want to make thermite pretty cheaply, you can buy the aluminum oxide at a sandblasting supply shop, and the iron oxide you can make by letting some nuts and bolts sit in a pan/jar/whatever of water to let them get really rusty, and then throw them in a little ball or tumbler mill.
