How long has this ting been sitting...?

I see a good number of grills offered for "free" on craigslist in my metro. If I was in another situation, I would act on more of them because I like taking apart grills. So, in the warmer months probably see at least 3 to 4 a week but this is the rustiest one I've ever seen offered. We get about 25-28 inches of precip a year so not exactly a really wet place. This one must have been wheeled into a corner years ago and left. The top must be aluminum, such they often did wiith older grills. Its "clean" appearance stands in sharp contrast with the steel of the rest of the body...

Looks like its been sitting inside a barn or someware and years of dust build up and humidity caused this. When the humidity comes the dust holds the moisture and eventually rusts out everything. I live right by the Thornton limestone quarry so i know how the dust build up is. We are probably one of the dustiest towns around

Looks like it was exposed to salt. If there are any brass fittings for propane, that would be the only thing worth scrapping.
