    Dental Equipment Scrap

Howdy everyone, so I have my first bit of scrap since I first moved to Alabama. I don't really curb shop anymore, but I have been getting scrap from work. We deliver equipment to dental offices, mostly compressors, vacuum machines, dental chairs, and X-ray machines. Sometimes we bring old ones back if its a replacement, and I grab the old stuff. Everything is extremely heavy, and scrap pays well here, so I'm pumped about picking it up. Heres some stuff I've grabbed so far.

3 Pump Oil-less dental compressor, around 200lbs of motors and the tank weighed 180lbs. Also got a lot of brass and copper from it. Netted $45 on just the tank and motors.

Picked this up a couple days ago, a panoramic x ray machine. Not a lot inside this one, but I sold the control panel to a guy for $60, and sold the frame as unprepared HMS for $25 today, weighed 300lbs. Lots of aluminum and circuit boards in this one.

    All taken apart:

Ill update this thread as I get more stuff, pretty good side hustle off the trash at my job!

If only I could get my hands on an XRAY machine! Nice finds you got mate! Give me a shout if you ever have the HV transformer from an xray unit laying around; I'm always on the look for them.

There is a lot of alum on that x-ray machine. Pretty much the whole thing is non-magnetic. Grab a magnet!!

If you are still looking for an X-ray machine, I have an old SS White panorex machine
I'm looking to dispose of. It's located in Pittsburgh.
