iPhone/Tablet/Mobile Device buyers and a sign from above

I’m sure it’s been asked before and forgive me as it’s been a while since I’ve been around the forums or in the business... life comes quick as a single parent with a full time job LOL! I found 10 desktops in a dumpster behind my new office which I took as a sign to try to and get back into this business that I enjoyed so much as a hobby. I know of all our typical buyers, seen one or two go but the main guys still going strong. Apologies for the rambling but back to my post... does anyone have a buyer for older or locked/damaged iPhones/iPods/iPads and tablets Samsung phones etc? I noticed there was one guy in the buyers section but he’s yet to respond. Feels good to be back and to see so many of the same names still living the dream!

I've done a couple of small deals with Gainsaver over the years. Gainsaver seems to specialize in Mac products. Wouldn't say the seller / buyer experience was stellar but the deals did go through. Maybe check out their buyer page along with customer reviews on the net and judge for yourself ?

Here's a link to their buy page: https://www.gainsaver.com/sell-used-...op-dollar-paid

The ipads aren't terribly hard to repair as long as the mainboard isn't locked. There's a company in the UK that "claims" to be able to undo the lock through the Mac servers but the whole thing seems pretty shady. I guess it all comes down to the question as to whether it's worth doing or not. Some of the Mac stuff has resale value. Some of it is old and only has scrap value.

My general rule of thumb on the Imac " All in One's " is prior to late 2012 should go to scrap. Late 2012 and on might well be worth repairing. They aren't that hard to work on and have good resale value.

    JMO / YMMV
