Happy New Year and my latest load.

Hey All! Haven't had a chance to post on here since my introductory post but have still been viewing the boards for info. I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope everyone had a good Christmas. As far as the latest load, I had a Christmas "Miracle" happen. Cruising FB and saw a load for free got a hold of the fellow to pick it up. Father-in-Law let me borrow a trailer and I ended up with four AC units, four furnaces, three water heaters, and two radiators from furnaces. Got it all from an HVAC company so no need to worry about the refrigerant in the AC units. I have to say i was pretty excited. Now I just have to be able to get them torn apart and take it all in. Thanks for all the advice from everyone and I hope 2020 is prosperous for everyone.

Before you go to scrap the AC parts (even the motors can be an issue) make sure you know what the yard requires of you to be able to scrap AC's My yard required me to give them my business docs to use as proof that AC's had been processes correctly and were not the result of theft. Make sure all your ducks are in a row before you actually drag the stuff down the so you don't run into a brick wall, or worse, have to dump at pennies on the dollar. That much AC scrap will probably result in a pretty good haul.

The scrappers dilemma, where there's more people, the more scrap but generally the more rules to follow. I would certainly heed t00nces2's advice but I feel for the guys who have to deal with a lot of paperwork to get rid of AC scrap. We have nothing like that here, at least at the place where I take my non-ferrous scrap. Good luck!!
