    Magnet fishing

Exchanged gifts with the lady early this year. She got a magnet fishing set that I asked for. Tried it out today in a river casting off shore with minimal luck. Anybody else do this? Going to stick with it, but thinking will have better luck in more rural areas going off bridges for the better angle (lifting straight up) looking forward to hearing your stories and hopefully sharing some good finds of my own. Merry Christmas 🎄

Well, how has it gone so far, any experiences to share? I would like to know. BTW, what is the brand on it?

It works cause the fish swallows the hook an escapes.

    Magnet detects the hook.

I've not idea but it sounded good.

Defiantly a form of entertainment, but I will stick to my fly rod for trout, spinning rig for walleye, and a skid steer for metal.

Seems the kid found a old UFO graveyard, or maybe the saucers are from a BIG tambourine? lol...

Sure can tell he's a city kid. I did see the big field sprayer drive by so I know it's farm country he's fishing in.

I found the video far more interesting then watching paint dry.

and that Nickle made it a CA$H day!

I have gone out once since then with still minimal luck. Feeling a little under the weather (non Covid19) but next spot is under an overpass by my house. But yeah as the video shows it lets you bring up any magnetic crap people have dumped in the water. Good time passer during these cabin fever times.

Also please don’t stereotype magnet fishers based on that kid.

I watched the video as I found the kid entertaining with how excited he would get when he hauled something up.

When lawnmower racing became a popular sport, I realized anything is possible with what humans will try.

Some times I will put something silly, weird or odd into the eBay search and be suprised at what I will find.

My first search was "butt plug". I was very surprised at how many were for sale that were just what it sounds like.

This world is "made up" of all sorts of ideas that are not well thought out as most times MONEY, that magic illusion is what is the main motivator.

What ever floats your boat is the fluid of the day.

It truly is a strange old world.

A butt plug and a collar are everyday tools for training your submissive but a butt plug with a fox tail is just weird. I never did get the cosplay thing.

Harrow discs, they pull that contraption behind a tractor & it puts slits into the ground to airate it.
Maybe for helping drainage or something like that.
I used to machine the Cast iron spacer/bearing in between the discs.
"The rougher the better, machine it till theres a full 360° machining mark on each face & thats it" the Foreman said.

I haven't many of those discs left around the yard as the ones they use around here are the heavy ones and they have many uses when scrapped from service.

They use them for bottoms welded on pipe/poles that hold dock sections above water, such as a lake or pond.

and the artists like all of them, whatever the size or conditions.

    Lol ... wise choice !

If the wife sees that it might put ideas in her head.

You might wake up Easter Morning with a fuzzy new bunny tail.
