    Free Ads Are The Best

I was cleaning up the shop space yesterday when I decided to look at facebook marketplace and see if there were any good deals. I saw an ad for a few boxes of free electronics. It was 3 miles away so I sent a message. The ad was 3 hours old so I was expecting it was gone. The lady said they were available so I headed over. Imagine my surprise to find that the few boxes ended up being a full truckload of electronics. I have 1 more load to get today. It's pretty old stuff from the looks of it. I did find a few boxes of brand new heatsinks ranging from K6 CPU's to slot processors all brand new in boxes.

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

If you got CPUs that are new in their boxes, you want to save those. You'd be amazed how much some of those things are worth to the right collector.

Apparently, the key to making you happy is to load up Akitsu with nothing but old keyboards

    Nice score.

Most of the stuff I see on FB Marketplace is an outright scam.

Best one I can remember was someone offering a 2017 32' 5th wheel camper for free because it was "too big for our family".

Was someone in the lady's family a computer builder or was someone else who had done e-scrap at one time or didn't she offer an explanation...?

From what I found they are a radio dealer company that was downsizing to a smaller warehouse. It sounds like the husband didn't throw any electronics away for the past 20 or so years. I think the husband did computer builds as a hobby because there was some parts, but not enough for it to be a major hobby.
