To sell Scrap is still a rush

I had some pounds of copper from TV cones that had, been in a box
for 5 years that I forgot about
When I found them , I still had it in me to say , OK lets get busy
Even though I don't mess with TV's like I used to I was still not gonna sell them off
as Copper Bearing at like .12 cents per pound .
It took 45 min or so of the Old School hammer WORK
When done , Hmm got some heft the yard paid $33
You know five years ago I knew what I was doing as
I could not keep up with what I was putting upon my self so I stashed it away
I absolutely burred my self I have other stashes to deal with also
Prices are down if not the New Norm , still cash in the wallet from scrap is real
and what was in the box for the last 5 years was real

Another storie is today I deposited my paycheck from my job (new Job BTW ) I now work for a painting company
& I thought lets take a peek around sure enough with in an hour had 500 pounds I went home picked up my son
first went to Yard collected $36 . Then took son for his Needs of life , Hair cut , Food , Clothes
even found some more weight on way home .
Well I came from a time of 25 scrapper trucks ahead of me at the yard & competition on the street
These days in and out , the scrappers are still here but few and far between
I am thankful for my past and how I can make money from the Curb

Copper Head and CopperHeadAKA (same person)
I am back to my skill set from the 80's Painting & all that follows it
I removed myself from the trash company I worked for as of 2 years ago
I find scrap non the less

Aint that the truth. Every 5 minutes some random scrapper would drive past. I even knew a street that had 3 scrappers living on, and 2 were neighbors.

I'm scrapping different now and happy about it .
See my last job was with a trash company the pay was kinda low but was only 4 days a week
so on my 3 days off day I would scrap and also sell the .06 cans that were in HUGE abundance
But the problem was my focuse on my Job , I had to put effort into scrap and find can's wile working and it did not make me perform better
My new job is back to my original skill set - Painting & all that goes with it , The pay is more & I hardy think of scrap wile I work But on the way home I look a little and work it that way . Wile I had my Trash job Scrapping became very depressing
I think cause I was around trash and scrap ( looks like trash ) 7 days a week
Every thing is in place now I feel happy once more to scrap .
