Husky 26 gallon air compressor - what things have you found free?

Not a big deal for some I suppose but it works and it's clean, it's the model one size down from the mounted one.

Yesterday I saw an ad on Craigslist 10 minutes old for an air compressor, it read "Messed with it when I was trying to put the hos on and it doesn't work, its easy fix but I didn't have the time or the need for the machine anymore."

I picked it up from a neighborhood with $1 mil + homes. At that point I was a little more confident I was picking up a working air compressor.

Got it home, finished taking off the cover (it was half on), removed the coupler and hose fitting from the the "tank" outlet cleaned and put on some teflon tape - what he said was wrong - put it all back together - had to find a few new fasteners - and tested it. It worked. I was ready for the thing to break or something, but no... what he told me and the ad was 100% true - it's a working air compressor 5 minute fix.

Dang bro. Nice score. I've not gotten anything like that in the trash/online ad, but I've gotten some pretty unexpected things before. Authentic military MREs being one of them. Two entire unopened cases of 24 each. Just a couple days past expiration, but still edible nonetheless.

Dozens of working appliances, due to upgrades or wifey not likey no more.
Basically anything mechanical often times works just fine or needs minimal work.

It seems crazy to me they would just give that away to a complete stranger and list it on CL.

Here's what the ad looked like. I take screenshots if it's something good I am confirmed to pickup where only the first responder gets the address information.
