    Barracuda!!!!!

We got a call to pick up three cars for scrap. So we rolled out.

I took the s10 and the buick to the crusher and came up $3 short on what I paid for all 3 cars.

The Barracuda came home with me.

I can't believe a paint ball place was shooting at a 68 Cuda. I have a friend who wants it already.

It's a first generation Barracuda 64-66, nice find. There are lots of people looking for parts for these babies. Check the VIN, if you have an H in the 5th digit, you could have a very valuable car. That letter designates the 426 Hemi engine in 1966.

I wonder if that used to be Sarah Palin's car?

(For those who don't understand the reference go to Youtube and type "Sarah Palin barracuda"...)

That is a 65 barracuda. I have 7 1956/1966 barracudas. 6 of mine have the factory Hi-po engine option labeled Commando 273. . That is the biggest engine offered in these cars. It is a 273 with 4 bbl, domed pistons, higher lift cam. Mine are either a Formula S model which automatically came with the Commando engine or they were ordered from the factory with the Commando engine option. I have a 1965 Formula S and 2 1965 Commando cars. I also have 3 1966 Formula S.

If these post here are some pictures of some of my cars and one of the two engines I restored.

SO you want some spare glass. Only glass missing is the windshield and the drivers side vent window. The guy here has not gotten back with me. it is going on Craigslist tomorrow.

Thanks for letting me know. I am not in need of any but would consider if you were closer. I've seen that back window go very cheap on e-bay recently but it was a pick-up only deal. I've also seen them bring a pretty good price. You should have good luck on craigslist as these cars are becoming more popular. Check to see if the windows are tinted or not. Doesn't mean they will be more valuable but someone might want to match theirs or upgrade. All of the large back glasses are tinted.

I would try to get a good price out of them if I were you. The windshield can still be bought new ( shaded and tinted only that I'm aware of. ) The other windows are not available . Before you get rid of the car check the fender tag on top of the fender well under the hood. That will tell you what options the car came with in case someone wants the body. I think you can decode the tag on the A bodies only forum.

I may be interested in the taillights though so let me know what you want for them. Sorry for the long post.

I didn't do too bad. I bought all three cars for $400. Scrapped out two for $397.53. Which put the purchase price of the Cuda at $2.47. I sold it for $250. I don't feel cheated at all. The pictures didn't do justice to how bad the condition really was under all those paint ball hits.
