Super hard to be a big fan of this forum lately. Not sure what the deal is but I figured I would give out an email here in case this thing goes belly up. Buyers sellers friends etc feel free to email text call me so we can connect and swap info.

I'll be around as long as the forum is. But relying on private messages here is kinda ridiculous seeing as how we never know when the site will work.

Before I started castrating the males just ended up as suckling roasters. The worst part is the Sow. She just about jumped the hag panel a few times hearing her babies squealing.

Alright alright...If my thread doesn't stop with the admin bashing I'am going to have to sic the admin on you guys and have them break out the ban hammer! LMAO!!!

But really though. It's been fun but all I really wanted to do was to get my info out there to anyone who might want it or need it while the site is down.

In other news. I know I spoke prematurely about a new truck once before. So I waited on this one. I pick it up from the local copart auction tomorrow morning.

Theft recovery so ingnition batteries(**** scrappers) and a radio. Beyond that it's a mystery. I think i got it at a good enough price that even if it needs a decent amount of work i'll still be ok on it.

F-350 Dually 7.3l Diesel 4x4 200k miles with a stake side flatbed. Doesn't get much better than that for what I wanted.

So far in only into it for $1800($1390 plus fees)

Alright so here is my trucks story so far.

Paid for it but copart wont move super duty trucks. So $40 for a random tow driver that was already at the place to drop the truck on the side of the road in front of copart. No working on vehicles on site.

Ok pop in 2 new batteries. No start and has about a half gallon of oil on the ground. Time for a tow. We flag down one that doesn't look busy and have him haul it back to my place.

Ended up it was missing the Ignition Pressure Control Sensor and was just pouring oil. My friend who found me this truck had one in his tool box and 3 mins later the truck was running.

It's a good one. Starts FAST, runs and shifts smooth.

Went in on a ford dealers parts department with a friend on Sat. Couldn't be happier. found out after we bought it that it just went through inventory for the bankruptcy. They had 250k worth of parts in the building. We got basically all of that minus 20 jeep hitches and 15 bed liners.

Only a small portion is mine but id say we did pretty good on the deal. When I figure out how to do photo's without photobucket i'll share some pics.

Ended up filling a 26ft uhaul plus my truck and trailer. Still need to go back for one more truck and trailer load. Good thing most stuff was light weight. Bumpers, dash boards filters ect. Some of the nicer stuff were turbo's and heads for 6.0l and 6.4l powerstrokes along with 2017 super duty DVD head rests(4 sets at $1200 each) and a bunch of aftermarket jeep stuff.

I guess the group had 3 dealers and the location we bought had the biggest shop so they did a lot of the other dealers(mopar and nissan) stuff there along with the ford stuff.

Had the U-haul loaded up in about 4 hours which wasn't too bad considering all the parts were loose.

Oh and I have about 2 pallets worth of just cores. Any good core buyers I could trust to send everything to?

Well this thread has kinda gone to **** because of photobucket holding my photos hostage lol.

Anyway moving on to imgur which seems to be alright so far.

So here it is. About a week ago I hauled my first load in the new truck. 3k lbs from a local scrap yard that has tower prices on the board.

The ride is like I am on a cloud already with the Michelin tires I have on it but with 3k lbs the ride was even better!

The bed is perfect don't get me wrong but I am on the hunt for a more typical flatbed I can use a gooseneck with and maybe make some stake sides for it.

Been a while but im still kicking. Kinda hard to buy right now with surplus prices so high.

Just had another kiddo at the start of this whole lock down so scrapping has been on the back burner anyway being primarily a "stay at home".

Still finding things to buy/sell/scrap just not nearly as much and from different sources i wouldn't expect lol.

    Hope everyone is doing well!

2 questions. How is everyone and how is everyone posting pics? lol

Prices seem to be decent so im taking the chance to haul in a truck bed full of 25% recovery insulated wire + a couple 55gal drums worth or ribbon wire+gold connectors.

Something to note is something like ribbon wire w gold ends. I feel like i've been saving this 300ish# FOREVER!!!

I asked the small scale operator what the price on it was once knowing what market should kinda be before i asked.

He said just throw it in with my 25% recovery. I rolled my eyes and thought no way.

I call for pricing today, say how much est that I have and what do ya know... 45% recovery pricing currently $1.03. Now that sounds better I'll load it for that.

So before I get off the phone(because it was the owner that had picked up) I also let him know I have 500# of 25% recovery and he says ok i'll note your account and give you an extra .05

Moral of the story is IF you can hold it till it's worth something and communication is key. If you can get the cell number of anyone in the office that is a major plus because you can send pics .

That 500# felt more like 1000# when i got done loading it. If you guys tell me how to post pics i'll post my ticket tomorrow.

    I do imgur for pics

    https://imgur.com/upload

then after you upload them, right click on the image and you can do "Copy Image Address" or "Open image in new tab" and then grab the url from there.

After that to embed it here just "insert picture" button in this reply window thing here (3rd button from the right). and paste in the url to the picture.

That is at least how I do it/have found to be the easiest.... from your earlier posts it looks like you were already using imgur.... did you forget how to use it lol? or is the scrap metal form broken or something
