Chicago burbs: take over my regular pickup spot

I'm in the suburbs of Chicago. Specifically the downers grove area. My wife and I have made the decision to move out of state to North Carolina. I have a regular pickup spot at a body shop nearby that I'd like to hand over to a member on here since the forum has helped me out so much over the last couple years.

I typically pick up the metal weekly to bi weekly. A heavily loaded pickup each time. Also, they save the plastic bumpers which need emptying 4 to 6 times a year. The drop off for the bumpers is roughly 20 minutes away at an income of 2-300 dollars a trip. The bumpers need to be delivered by 3pm weekdays only. So this takeover is best suited by a full time scrapper or someone with flexible weekday time. I'd prefer that whoever takes over can handle the metal and bumpers.

I'd prefer to meet up with whoever takes over in person to get to know them for a few and personally introduce them to the owner of the body shop. At that time I will show them the location and provide all the info for dropping the bumpers.

Do what you want with the scrap, but the bumpers must be destroyed per the owners wishes. So the only location I know of is the one I currently take them to. You are required to make an account which includes tax information. Take this into consideration before committing to take over.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to passing on my account of 5+ years.

Let me know Jn. Also, if you do electronics as well, I have an office that calls fairly regularly and sometimes it's a load of keyboards and lcds, others it's 40 desktops in one go. They're an outside service IT department. So any time their clients upgrade or something dies, I get the old stuff. I would pass on your info to them so they have a replacement for me as well.

Hey Mike1286, if JnJunk does not want the electronics end, you can pass them my info. I have many managed service providers on my list. I also pickup all over north eastern Illinois. I just try to stay away from "only metal" clients. E-waste is all I really deal with and I can issue them wipe reports and cod's, along with HIPAA certified.
