Best scrap run of 2018 (so far)

So far my best load of 2018, I am really going to try and get above $100 before I leave for New York
(Dont have pics so I will tell prices)
    Aluminum Painted $0.25 a pound at 43.5 pounds - $10.88
    Aluminum wheels dirty $0.33 a pound at 122.5 pounds - $40.42
    Dirty Aluminum $0.10 a pound at 3.6 pounds - $0.36
Aluminum Painted (again) $0.23 at 10.20 pounds - $2.35 (I got a price bump for the other painted alum.)
    Yellow brass $1.33 a pound at 11.9 pounds - $15.83
    Steel #1 unprepared $95 GT at 439 pounds - $18.62
    Steel #1 HMS $100 GT at 8.9 pounds - $0.40
    Stainless Steel $0.23 a pound at 1 pound - $0.23
    1 pallet - $0.50 each

    Total comes to $92.17!!

What made your aluminum wheels dirty? Was it just the valve stems and wheel weights? Or are you able to sell aluminum rims with tires on them? And its cool that your scrapyard will buy pallets even if it was only 50 cents, as you are going to the yard anyways
    Better than the dump!

Are you moving or travelling to NY? NYC or Upstate? $100 doesn't go very far in the city. But being from CA, I'm sure you're used to that
Copper, brass, and Leather. 3 of my favorite things.

Funny thing is, I cleaned the wheels of the wheel weights and valves, but I didn't realize where the lug nuts went, was steel, so I got dirty for them.

Yea, scrap prices here are terrible, no yard (that I know off) are paying current prices for scrap. It sucks.
