20,000lbs of new old stock capacitors, need any offer

    Hello,

I'm new to the board, we have 10tons give or take of assorted new old stock capacitors, unboxed and dumped in gaylords and ready to ship. Looking to sell for any best offer. In central Minnesota. Any ideas are welcome, they need to go. Thank you

Electrolytic, poly, ceramic, mica, silver mica, maybe a few tantalum snuck in but I had a seasoned spotter looking for them, we have a couple hundred pounds of them, they are the only things we pulled, otherwise about every kind of capacitor made from the 60s on. Just need them gone.

We need more information, like what values and the voltage of each capacitor.

I would be interested in any large KV capacitor.

On average they are 5v-600v typical component level capacitors, not large speciality units.

Reported yield on silver mica capacitors are close to 1 once of silver from 1 pound of capacitors. Go to the gold refining forum and do a search for Lasersteve silver mica capacitors. Being the case of silver the smaller the capacitor the yield will be less per pound.

You need to also look for through hole monolithic capacitors. These will be small oval shape kind of like a tic tac usually with yellow epoxy coatings. Look for small square blue epoxy coated to. The leads on monolithic capacitors will be spaced equally on the capacitor.
This is where a high Palladium content may come in to the picture. Through hole monolithic capacitors are the same as the MLLC capacitor that is used today.

Plain ceramic disc capacitors the leads will be off set with a lead going to each side.
