    what are these

    What are the 2 small pieces with gold capped ends? There's one on the top of the picture and one on the right. https://flic.kr/p/PUuVA7

    Hard to say for certain, there are a number of different surface mount components that are packaged in that shape. Last time I had anything to do with them they were fuses. Sometimes the board itself will have some screen printing on it that will help you to identify the part, other times there are numbers on the part that you can google and get a datasheet from. Pic is too blurry for me to do that for you, sorry.

    SMD fuses.


    Thanks, while I was searching for the pic, I found out that these things were fuses too. I had wondered what they were.

    Thanks for the help on that and I suppose being they're fuses its brass not gold on them. Oh well I was hoping for more to add to my gold bucket lol

    I expect that they are Gold plated. Stuff like that Has to work and the Gold gives a good solder joint.
    Since it can possibly heat up and expand it will need good soldering.
