Light steel, right? So that's 7.4 cents a pound or $148 a ton...? Wow, good times on the roll up there. Last time I checked around here (early Dec.), it was about $60 a ton. I'll have to check today!

My yard in Indiana is still sitting at 40 N/T for shred. But other prices are up.

I called our steel place today and the gal was chipper when she told me that "tin and wire" was up to $90 a ton (4.5 cents a pound). I might have to make wifey a bit more pleased by cleaning up my side of the garage some by taking what I have (which is never much at all) in this week. Shouldn't be too many other customers come Thurs. with a forecast high of about 3 F in temp !!
