    Another Craigslist Reinforcement (huge score)

A maintenance guy called off our craigslist ad with 11 hotel a/c's, I got them today, an hour and 30 mins away, I get good mileage in the element, anyway he will have another 20 for me in about a month and a half, and he says sometime after that he will have 80 more, yes 80. Never got something quite like that. A little bit startling haha and I'm gonna need some bigger truck/trailer setup but not worried about it for now. We have an ad with a simple picture of scrap metal and just one sentence and we do it for free. And yes we get all kinds of stuff and will turn down small/far stuff. Also is there anything I could rent that's reasonable (pretty cheap) to handle that load?

depending on the size of the AC's, a big Ryder truck is the cheapest I would think....you might just get it at the destination loc where you only have to drive it back (do the one way) and pay for mileage. I would run both scenarios for cost. Not sure if you are taking them directly to the yard or stripping 1st, so factor that in.
PROFIT is made when you BUY/ACQUIRE NOT when you sell

Get a recovery guy lined up. It'd be worth holding onto then and stripping down that many....one big cash out

Definitely stripping, yeah my dad used to be an ac/refrigeration guy so we'd probably try to do it ourselves, we just need the pump and stuff we already have a recovery tank, and he does have the lifetime certification for refrigerant.

During the week U-Haul does their mileage at 79cents per mile, plus the rental of the truck itself (for 24 hours) of $29.95 for a 17ft truck, or $39.95 for a 20-26ft truck if you think you need all the space. Not sure about Ryder like webuyselltradestuff mentioned above. Could be cheaper, I would call. However, SOME U-Haul facilities are good with matching rates or dropping that per mile charge. Just gotta call around.

Right now, you would probably do better with Budget trucks. The 16 foot and smaller trucks are gas engines and if you reserve a truck online they are currently offering 20% off. Plus, they line up with loading docks, something U Haul trucks don't do.

Call around on the truck for sure. I've needed to rent a truck a few times now. I'm sure pricing is somewhat regional. I called the big renters. Uhaul, budget, penske, and a few local rental places. Penske ended up being the cheapest around here. Both for a low 16 footer with a ramp and for a 26 foot dock height diesel with a lift gate.

Nice load. Lots of mixed metals motors a compressor and electrical. AC units are all held together with Phillips and torx head screws. The only problem is recovering the freon.

I had a sweet score was a Craigslist post yesterday. 8 whole computers and 6lbs of gold ram. Also every Tuesday he wants me to get the things that he can't use & just ta key it. I offered him some cash but he wouldn't accept it. On the condition that on Tuesdays I'll be there to haul off free money. I offered to cut the grass or something but he still said that I will be helping more just hauling it away from his shop... I felt like it was a blessing
