you ship some, you find some...

I went over to FedEx last night near the airport in bigger town to ship my first e-waste box out. I know I should be more aggressive in finding old computer junk but just haven't pushed it like I should. Maybe I'll ramp it up now.

Anyway, there had been a CL post that came out a little after 4 pm saying they had computer stuff out on the curb and wanted it gone. I'm leaving FedEx at 8:30 and thought there's a good chance that stuff is gone but I'll swing by anyway. If nothing else it would add some miles to my round trip. But the stuff was still there and I scored 2 towers (1 complete), 3 printers, a smaller flat screen monitor, and an old vcr or something. Not a spectacular grab but I found it sort of pleasingly ironic that I find e-waste the same night I ship e-waste. Keep filling those boxes!!!

I like finding computers with white cases fading to yellow, always more chance of a ceramic CPU.
