    Virginia was not nice today

    So took a load up today. I have to say that i feel for the yall that live off scrap.
    Current prices for southern Virginia



    Dirty Aluminum .07 lb
    Dirty Brass .50 lb
    Bare Bright Copper 1.85lb
    Electric Motors .13 lb
    #2 Copper Wire .38 lb

    I hope for his sake and the rest of the southern Virginia scrappers, that he's talking about #2 copper wire "insulated" at $0.38 a pound. If not I hope that down trend stays in Virginia!

    we were getting .20 lb for electric motors. It stayed that much for the last 3 years until 2 weeks ago, when it went to .10 lb. The story from the yard guys was that they waited a long time to take in their motors and only got .12 lb. What a loss! So I imagine it'll be a slow climb back to .20 lb

    Here irony aluminum pays MORE than electric motors. Makes no sense, so my motors that have any aluminum attached at all go in irony now
