    My Yard Sale Advertising Day,

A beautiful day so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and do a little yard sale looking and handing out my business cards also. It's a great way to approach people as their already outdoors so your not exactly "cold calling". This has worked well for us before but it had been a couple of years. I hit a couple of nice additions that had "community" yards sales (that's where there is 4-5 or more in the one addition). That way you can park and walk to a couple of houses. My real intent was to pass out the handful of cards I had brought with me.

Catch them at the right time of the day and their not too grouchy yet and will be receptive to "your sales pitch". Not only did I get rid of most of my cards but got about a half a truckload of misc. metal and electronics. I was pitching/talking at one place and a customer told me if I'd follow him (5 min. away) he'd give me a few items. ended up being a 42" flat monitor, 3 bottle tanks, satellite dish with pole, and pool cover tube which was all alum. about 6" diameter and 15' long. Also picked up a newer dead receiver, 15" flat monitor, copper truck radiator, 2 cell phones and a Apple IPad 2 (they say it's dead). Not bad for a lazy day as I've had a long dry spell.

YES, see if you can get it on or it to power (the ipad)...either way it can be sold for "parts/non working"....you will be SURPRISED how much it will bring on Ebay or even CL if you don't do Ebay
PROFIT is made when you BUY/ACQUIRE NOT when you sell

The silver one is a Blackberry, trying to see if it'll charge.
Don't have a charger or usb adapter for the IPad.

The price of a power cord for the ipad ibe well worth it. One end is a usb its easy to find a place to plug it in. If you don't already have an ITunes account get one and you can do a reset on it. Trust me spend the time and money($2-$3). Mike

Just to update this a little. Spent 3 dollars for the usb cord, found out the plug-in on the Ipad is flaky. Makes connection part time, looks to be a common problem. But at least it lights up and does a couple of functions. Might be worth a couple of dollars more when I sell it. Thanks for the tips guys.

If you can get it to do a factory reset via itunes it will help sell it on ebay. Of course reveal all problems with it but that fact that you could get it to do the reset says alot to someone wanting to do a refurb/resell Mike

PS I know Mech is aware that problems with items need to be revealed in listings on ebay but I added it to enlighten those who don't have ebay experience. Mike
