those days, every one has one every now and then. Today was one for me.

No matter what you are doing every thing just misses the mark.

Pinched or burnt fingers, cuts scrapes, screw driver or chisel slips, smashed fingers.

started out today with Mothers day. Wife wanted a new Shelby Mustang or a Cake, I chose the latter........The Mustang would a been easier.

When that fiasco was over , I decided to go out and tear down a few Servers. After 2 or 3 hours and a dozen pinches slips and cuts, I decided I may be better off writing this message.
When things just seem to wrong or you seem to be just off the mark, take a break, it could be just one of those days.

One of the things we scrappers take for granted in a large part is our hands. We use and abuse them probably more then any other profession, and take care of them less.

Don't let macho rule your world , be smart, take care of your hands. At 73 I can no longer feel a small screw or a dangerously sharp piece of metal because I paid no attention to my hands. Use hand lotion and hand oils.
"anyone who thinks scrappin is easy money ain't doin it right!"

True enough about protecting your hands. I would add always wear safety glasses. you only get one set of eyes, you gotta take care of them.

I have been busy doing a bit of scrapping and sorting around the yard as of late, well, when it's not raining out as it has been off and on lately.

But anyway, my fingers, hands are feeling their age. I have not had any cuts, pinches or such, but I do have my share of scratches and small abrasions. Just little boo boos that seem to heal quick enough.

I myself don't like wearing gloves unless it seems the best idea as they mostly get in the way. I mostly use them for when I'm moving things and such to keep my hands a bit cleaner and protected. But for the detail work and special strip jobs,

it's the naked hand and the proper tool that gets the job done,lol...
