    Prices today...

Took a small load in today here in Fort Wayne Indiana.. Got .70 a # for alum. cans, .70 a # for insulated #2 copper wire, $1.45 a # for yellow brass and $1.95 a # for #2 copper. Cans dropped .5 a # since earlier this week. They've been at .75 for a few months straight til now. Bright side is I was able to get them to take some of that copper wire they wouldn't take before. I just unwrapped the strands of it that were wrapped together and thru it in with #2. Really should've got bright price for it but oh well, still got another 15 #'s of it left so I guess I'll just do a little at a time til it's gone

I just picked up a price list and copper is down to 2.17/lb #2, 2.50/lb for bright. Not much else changed. Now I don't know if I should sit on my 12 crt yokes or not. Wanted to cash it in because I need the money but...

That's why I held on to majority of my #2 and bright copper. Figured I'll try and hold off in hopes it goes a little higher. It was closer to your price last time I went, seen the $1.95 a # this time and was like man. Guess it could always be worse though. They even took the brass from a water meter with no problem so I was kinda excited about that

Yea, I'm surprised the aluminum has been that high as long as it has. I remember a few years back they were .35 a # here. That sucked. Luckily I had a buddy that could get more for them in Michigan so I'd stock them up and sell to him once every month or 2 for a little less than what he'd get for them

Just now seeing this somehow. YEP. They seem ok at times but other times I feel like they rob ya. Just a minute from home though so end up there quite a bit for better or worse

Devin- what do you get for Alum cans? We get 60 cents up here in Sx Falls. If you're in metro Omaha do they keep you from going over into Council Bluffs or somewhere else close and getting their redemption? How do they work that in basically a bi-state metro area where one side has a can bounty and the other its just straight spot scrap??

YM- Super owh!! There can't be hardly anyone hauling cars at that price unless being forced to for some reason. How long can your auto salvage yard survive with no business coming in the front door??
