Craigslist people crack me up

So last week I took it upon myself to put a post up after seeing another member get some luck from someone else picking up there free computers. We'll I can say that I did meet someone that is a new scrapper and had a pile of motherboards and other computer parts that I got for a great price and someone that will call me when he gets more computers. We'll in the last fee days I have received more emails and it really seems like people think there computers are worth a whole lot more than they are, even had one person call me several colorful adjectives after I said my price. I guess one good lead is better than none and a week of humor filled emails to make me laugh. Craigslist can be a good place but also think to many people short of a full deck of cards hang out there.

Yep - we usualy have that issue up here with vehicles. Car could be missing the exhaust and have more rust then paint and they price at $1500 lol. Was lucky to get my truck for what I paid for it. Now that I think about it, folks on facebook are starting to think their electronics are worth gold also... I'd muster a guess but I'm no psychiatrist.

Yep,you have to go threw a lot of idiots sometimes. People think gold and all reasonable thought process goes out the window. We get them here, but they don't stay long once they figure out that it's work. I ignore the idiots and no it all's. Its all about being consistent and not giving up. And willingness to always learn. That's what makes this forum so great. Even the ones that have been at it the longest still show and interest in learning new things.

The first house we owned we sold in the late summer-fall of 2008 (in hindsight we were lucky to get it sold considering the state of economy at that time). We got an offer the 2nd day it was on the market from a single mom who almost just as quickly back out. It was certainly a buyer's market then and after about a month at our first price, we dropped it $5K (the cost of housing in my metro is much lower than in a lot of bigger metros so 5k means more here). Had an open house and a young stud came in and was interested but wanted another 5k drop or whatever additional sweetening he wanted. When I balked at this, he said he had 3 other places lined up and see ya later. OK, fine, I said. About 2 plus weeks later he came back and gave me the price we had dropped to (had to pay his closing costs which was a pretty standard offer of buyers at that moment in time). I guess his other places didn't work out...

P.S. Within 18 months this guy and his wife were selling that house again for about what they had paid me. He had been a PR guy for the local minor league baseball team. New owners came in and cleared out all the existing staff. I wonder where they ended up???

What I wonder about is when do these people that ridicilously over price things wake up to themselves and who's around to get what they have when they do get real.
I have seen a lot of ads for various stuff that may be good but the price is ludacrous. You know it is because they are telling you how much it's worth and advertising the same stuff for months. The ones I love the most are the ones that get shiity with the world for not payin gtheir price and will then say in their ad's " This is the last time I'm going to advertise this. If it dosen't sell this time I'll keep it/ take it to the tip/ keep using whatever... Don't say you weren't warned". Oh my! I feel so upst you aren't going to advertis what you have for 10 times what they are worth for the 12th Time.

One good one I saw recently was a clown that wanted to sell my father a car for wrecking. The thing had literally rolled down a hill and didn't have a straight panel or bit of glass , including any lights of any kind left in it. My father and I went to the towing company storage yard, looked at the thing fro a distance and said $300 because it has the rare motor in it. We rang the guy and told him and you think we just offered him $20 for his wife for a night. Each.
7 weeks went by and the guy rings again and says I'll take your offer of $300. My father said I'm no longer offering $300. Guy says what will you give me for it. Father says $100. Guy is carrying on and my father said, year, it had an interiour in it before, hasn't stopped raining in weeks, still dry and in good condition is it? Guy says No. and my father says well the offere is $100 take it or leave it. Guy took it.

When the towtruck driver turned up he told us that the guy was paying $20 a day storeage for those 7 weeks and had been trying to get someone to pay his Grand asking price.

I think he Bumped his head a lot harder than the doctors realised in the accident. Then again, maybe his brain was fried before the accident and that's why he had it in the first place.

I like the ones that say, my brother in-law's friend said that there is an ounce of gold in every computer. I tell them sell to your brother in-law's friend. This is way researching the old threads is so important to new members. It weeds out the get rich quick people.
