If the plate is brass, it goes as brass. If copper, it goes as copper. The brass and copper are from that buy... actually, the whole load was from that buy.

I have a bunch of silver plate and E-Wasted just added it to his buy list. He has it as silver plated brass. Is there an easy way to determine what the silverplate is on ?
I tried a magnet on it and its all non magnetic. Its all labeled silver plated or such. Do you file off some of the silver to see if copper shows ? Not sure but Im thinking of
cashing it in . Your input / advice is appreciated.
    Thanks

Scrape it with a file.... Yellow or white = brass, red = copper. Check the bottom. Many times they are hallmarked with the silver plate on X or Y. Make sure not to throw sterling in with the load.
