Found this beauty tonight Cyrix MII 233

Well to my suprise I opened a computer up and found this! This is like my 10th computer so def my top find! I might have to keep it.. Well until I find something to top it. I'm learning so much about e-waste. Makes me wish I had started sooner! I've always thought of scrap metal as that big pile of steel, the old car, and that copper wire. Im now at about 100 pounds of misc circuit boards. Still trying to figure everything out with them before I decide which to send off. But ya, here she is!

Nice find. I have saved all my ceramics since day one.

Curious, does that go with 486's or is this a different grade? They look the same

386 and 486 are worth much more. They contain more gold than any other ceramic processors. Check out Ewasteds buyers page he has a list for processors by type and his prices are pretty good.

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

I'd keep it. On eBay, the Cyrix chips aren't worth all that much. E-waste pricing won't be that much for one CPU.

When will you see another? I pulled a Cyrix 6x86 two years ago and kept it. I haven't seen another Cyrix CPU since.

It's cool. It doesn't cost much. It's way more rare than a Ceramic Pentium or AMD K6.
