    Website

Just wanted some feedback on my website if possible I spent a while making it and it only costs $15 a month to run so I think it will be worth it: www.recycorecycling.com

Very cool and well done. You might get some business from members of the forum to build their websites. Thanks for sharing and good luck.

I think you should add a description of the limits of the area that you want to serve. Since the internet can't be contained locally, you could be getting calls from people in Miami wanting you to come get a burnt out microwave and two broken TVs.

    Its a start.

I think black backgrounds should be band for professional websites. Its hard to look at long and that's what you want for people to want to look at it.

I also think you will need the help of someone to read over your copy for your site. You have some run on sentences and you repeat yourself too much in the "About" page.

I also believe that the About page should be about your company and you need a "Services" page that describes your services.

This is another personal preference (I do a lot of web shopping) I hate sights that make you scroll down too much to read the pages (on a standard monitor) like on your recyclables page. You could make two columns and make them into category not alphabetical order.

And lastly I think $15.00 a month is too much for a 4-5 page sight. Godaddy is much cheaper. https://www.godaddy.com/hosting/webs....aspx?ci=90238

These comments are to help. I hope I don't put you off with this list.

The point of a professional website is to get people to believe you are a professional and want to do business with you.

Yes I've looked into many website hosts and not all of them provide the background I am looking for and many charge almost $50 for a custom domain! And thanks for feedback It will help a lot.

I agree with etack on the proofreading. I will point some out to you though just to help.

    Home page:

You need a period after the word service in the second sentence and then capitalize the word "we".

    Contact page:

You have "Please Get In Touch" as the header, so it is redundant to repeat it again in the second sentence. Get rid of that and just put "Contact us via…etc". Also the optional address is misspelled. In your "Contact Information" box turn the 10 AM into 10:00 AM to keep it uniform with the other time.

    About Page

Lose the apostrophe in the word "appliance's". In that sentence it is not a possessive noun, does not naturally end in an s, nor is it an irregular noun. Also in keeping with your "Fast…Free…Gone!" theme, the last sentence in the box would be better worded:
"We will not only save you the hassle of disposing of your scrap, but also do it fast….and FREE!"
Because you can't "do" something in a free manner. That doesn't make sense.

Also, in your main "About" paragraph, there are a lot of unnecessary words. Try this paragraph(or something similar:

Recyco Metal Recycling is in the business of scrap metal recycling. Scrap metal comes in many forms such as cars, electronics, precious metals, and more. You can find a more extensive list in our "Recyclables" section. (Now you need more about your company, like area(s) of operation, how long you've been in business, how you strive to make our earth a more cleaner/safer/greener/more chocolate-filled place to live yadda yadda yadda)

    How it works:
1: Contact us via email or phone using our contact form.
2: We will setup a date and time convenient for you to pickup your scrap metal
3: We will come to you and pickup your scrap metal for no charge to you
(You should clarify area of operation in step three, do you offer free pick-up in your town only? County? Tri-county? Northern part of state? Whole State?(Don't offer free pickup to whole state lol))

    Recyclables:
Under your "Note" section, it would look better if you simply put: "If you have any questions about something not on our list, please feel free to contact us!" and nothing else.
You have a few repeats here that could free up some space on the page. etack is right about the scrolling…. my eyes started to hurt. You list batteries twice, once under "Batteries" and again after "Cars". Do you charge $40 for DVD(you need the word "player" here) players and VCRs? It looks like it. You have a category "Blowers, Leaf", then you have another category "Leaf Blowers". You also have a category for "Aluminum Cans", "Pop Cans", and "Soda Cans". Too much.
One more thing, you say you recycle anything with a battery. You need a disclaimer, or a do not accept list. You DO NOT WANT TO ACCEPT SMOKE DETECTORS. They are hazardous waste no matter which way you split em! And do not take any apart if you get them.

Keep working at it! You've done a lot so far so don't quit it. Your site will be great if you keep working on it. Always end the day thinking "What can I do to make this better". Good luck!

Thank you for that reply it will help greatly. I would like to point a few things out though. When I said "Dvd's I mean't Dvd's not dvd players. I take dvd's and I have a buyer that will buy any DVD for $ and I think they resell them or something I have no idea. Also when I say "free" it means free for the customer not me, so that's my slogan Fast... Free... Gone..!. And also I am not doubting smoke detectors are hazardous but I never knew they were.... How are they hazardous?
