Thank god I learned to SCRAP !!

Events have occurred that I needed money to pay some expenses of LIFE !!!
I kicked in and started to liqudate some inventory yet fresh found items kept coming in also as did the cash --

My wacky inventory , ability to find , and knowing what to do with what I find , saved my life .

Recently a yard guy said to me " i'll say one thing your a hard worker " as I drove home that comment made me realize
it's more then hard work his comment was addressing , He really meant How do you do it ??

    Well

It's work that many just can't do -
    Don't want to do AT-ALL
    Don't understand how to-do -
Nor will they ever figure -
It's complicated - we are a special breed

It's great when the time arises that you need extra money that you can grab the stockpiles and generate some cash. It helps to be prepared and persistent.

Yes 'till the bacon comes in. Even simpler...

How many times has this happened to you?

Wife is ready for work and asks what I'm doing today..."going to run some stuff to the yard and get things ship shape."
She leaves and phone starts ringing...hook up empty trailer and make some pick ups...end up at the yard 2-3 times.
Get home just before the wife.
She get's home...looks at the stuff still sitting there..."I thought you were going to the yard today?"

I have to laugh at that one , First my neighbors gave up . wife same . another reality is you leave with a load
and come back with same amount to - work on - it never really ends .

A classic statement came out of a fellow workers mouth to me " when will you unload this poor old truck " My answer came out in a hushed tone
with a touch of smugness - I said " it seems that way doesn't it " my boss also scraps and looked at me and smiled as to agree ,
to the untrained it all looks the same. (that week I went to the yard with a new load each day )

You know I need thank God more importantly -- thank you for scrap being there in the first place and protect all us honest scrappers from the thieves that have a short term view

Yep! Christmas used to stretch the budget. Not anymore. A couple of runs to the yard. (and a wife upgrade!) and we're doing all right.
