    MOSCOW (Scrap Register): Russia's biggest gold producer, Polyus Gold International Ltd, has reported its gold production and sales during second quarter of this year advanced from last year, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

    The Russian giant sold $527 million worth of gold during April to June this year, up from $464 million in Q2 last year. Its quarterly refined gold production increased by 4% year-on-year to 414 thousand ounces in Q2.

    "anyone who thinks scrappin is easy money ain't doin it right!"

    How does this impact the U.S. or the world economy? Based on what has been on the news the Chinese will buy it all and try to corner the market. What is your perspective?

    don't think it in it self will change much, but, it just shows action by our competitors on the world market are not standing idle. I don't think Russia sells their gold to china as they are trying to prop up the Ruble to gain world respect and confidence while we continue to borrow.
