    cleanup week!

I hope everyone else has had as much luck as me this year! In three days I collected 100plus pounds of wire alone, thats before breaking down appliances and electronics! Breakdown starts today......a daunting task considering it looks like mount Everest back there! Only spent $40.00 in gas to get it all. Godda love the Mazda truck!! This will be a great payday.

Congrats on your finds jenni! I too have had some real good luck this Spring Cleaning and have amassed quite a pile of clean steel at the side of my house. I also found about 25 lbs of wire outside just one house!

I totally do not have enough room for my hometown's Spring Clean Up. Its over 5 weeks on Fri/Sat. I have a full 10x10 storage unit, a full garage, and a full truck. Ive taken like 5 loads of shred in, and about a pickup beds worth of aluminum. Love it! Cant wait to get rid of the bulky stuff like shred, aluminum, and insulated wire so I can fix up all the mowers I picked up. Ill take them to the swap meet with the many other items that just need a little TLC (or none!) A trailer is needed and a a larger space to temporarily store stuff. We passed tons (yes tons) of grills and other bulky type shred items because we were focused on the goodies like ewaste, copper, brass, aluminum, and resellables. A good time of year for sure!

    cleanup week!

its been ridiculous here. it seemed like me and my friend were the only ones scraping in this one town. there were mountains of junk everywhere. we crammed stuff wherever we could then made a trip back to my shed to drop it off and hope the stuff we left was still there and it always was. all together we took six full trailers and truck beds out of that town.

I had an awesome spring cleanup this year. Picked up 17 crt monitors, 79 tv's, 12 computers, 4 dryers, 44 vacuums, 28 microwaves, 14 storm doors, and a lot of other misc. items. I've already hauled a ton and a half of shred to the yard and have at least that much more piled up behind my garage. I'm set for the rest of the summer breaking it all down.
