    Red face Auction Fever!

I won an auction about a month ago, some good computers and flat panels that I have slowly been selling for good profit. Well I just went and looked a two more lots with computer towers/equipment and bid on both. I wish I had the room for all this stuff... My wife is going to kill me!!! Oh well, I told her I'd buy her a sewing machine with the profits, that bought me some time. ha Think I need to slow down after these and offload some inventory first. I don't want to be the greedy python trying to swallow a gator. for now.

Congrats jiff, sounds like a deal! around here you can find a sewing machine for less than $20.00 on CL. I dont know what its like in your area. I found 3 alone curb shopping this year. Cheers to you!

Must be nice. DFW Texas area, you can't touch any reasonable sized auction lots for less than 2x scrap value. I'd think that eventually the overbidders would come to realize that they're losing money & go do something else, but it seems there's a never ending stream of suckers willing to pay $15-$20 or more per tower. I just don't #%$@!*% get it.

I have set up what price I can/will pay per item. So I calculate what total is with fees and tax and figure out my max bit. If I get outbid so be it. I'm not about to lose money trying to outbid someone just for the heck of it. I'll let you guys know if I land any of them.

And I should say she wants an embroidery machine... she picked one out that's over $1,000. I'll need a whale to pay for that! Oh well, if she's happy then I can be happy

I usually try to stay away from appliance type gifts for the Mrs. but got her a decent one from Costco for about $150 that has a bunch of stitches and some embroidery. She loved it, shed a tear and has been whipping out some nice stuff with it.
