    City Wide Cleanup

A local town (pop. 14,000) has an annual spring cleanup and any and all items are put on the curb where the public is invited to scavenge. I don't have to do this to add to my iron findings, but there are also many other items that add to my intrigue. My wife frowns on this action but she tolerated it today. I should have taken a trailer along as I bypassed 3 treadmills, a frig, a stove, numerous bed rails, a lawnmower and bicycles.

On the bright side we got a working paper shredder, christmas lights and bulbs, plywood for a shelf project in my shop, maybe 300 lbs of prepared and unprepared iron shred, a suitcase, deck chair cushions, a nice carrying case for my milwaukee cordless drill (had to modify it), and a working lawnmower. Also a 50 ft. extension cord from a lawnmower that someone left on a nonworking elec. mower and it was on the curb. I had to leave the mower as I had no room. Also about 10 lbs of insulated copper wire and the wife even jumped out and got a cute little metal pail and a throw rug. She's learning.....LOL !
