    Nice Score on Tanks

We pick up this many tanks every 2-3 weeks. The good ones get repurposed into custom smokers the heavy pitted and trashy ones get srapped. we use all of the tank even the end caps. Every once and a while we will get a 500 gallon tank that is 3/8'' thick but 1/4'' is the norm. The 250 tanks weigh roughly 700lb and the 500 tanks about 1000-1200lbs.

That looks like a very profitable gig. Thanks for the pictures and would sure like to see a picture of one of your smokers and what you repurpose the ends for.
If it wasn't for the $ in $crap, it would just be.....

Can you post pics of how you've modified your truck bed? It looks interesting.

    Cool projects!

I now officially have a good reason to leave NYC and buy a truck. I want one of these smokers!

Great haul! Can you email me more pictures of that pit, inside and out. I'm looking to make me a pit.

It will be killer when I actually get to finish it. A welder never gets to work on his own stuff..lol
I'll post a couple here and start a thread in the equipment section. It will force me to prioritize it and get it done.

Plans are full headache rack with roof basket/rack extended over the roof and welder. reels and bottle storage, custom bumpers. But I'll start a different thread for that in the correct section
